Renovating a historic home involves striking a balance between honoring the architect’s original vision while updating elements to suit the lifestyles of current owners. This stunning 1970’s modern residence in Kalamazoo’s Oakland/Winchell neighborhood was purchased by clients with young children. We filled in the indoor swimming pool and created a sun- and art-filled living space much safer for toddlers. Additional remodeling was done to almost every part of the house, from the exterior siding to interior areas including the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and hallways.
